Sam's Club

Barb bought a Sam's Club membership primarily for the roasted chicken but she found that the frozen Mac and Cheese was really good too.  So she bought a couple but when she went back to the store she couldn't find them anymore.  She asked a manager and he said that they weren't carrying that Mac and Cheese anymore but that she could fill in a form asking them to bring it back.  So she filled in a formed very disappointedly.

Walmart

Barb came out of Walmart today and found that the car wouldn't start.  She asked a man for a boost thinking it must be the battery and he said he didn't have anything to boost with but he told her that Walmart has a service center and she could see them.  So she walked around to the other side of the store and they were just closing for the day but one of the guys came out to the car with a battery charger.  He tested the battery and said there was nothing wrong with the battery and we thought there shouldn't be anything wrong with the battery because had just had it replaced before we left Canada.  Anyway he hooked up the cables and the car started.  Barb was glad she was in the Walmart parking lot when it happened but now she was afraid to turn off the car when she went out.

Switched at Birth

Barb found that Netflix didn't have the most recent seasons of her favourite shows and sometimes didn't have her favourites at all.  So she had to find another show to watch.  She found this show called Switched at Birth about a deaf red-headed girl and regular brown haired girl who were accidently switched at birth and raised by different families but later discovered the mistake and decided to get the families all together.  So one day I was just passing by as Barb was watching and we saw a restaurant in the background of a scene called Maize Restaurant.  Barb thought what are the chances.

Good Gary

Barb is very proud of her dink game in Pickleball.  She is very patient and will dink for a long time until her opponent becomes impatient and tries a hard shot to break the monotony which she can block back for a point or until her opponent pops up a shot and she can smack it down for a winner.  However, whenever she is playing against the good Gary Miller and gets into a dink rally with him, she says "all day Gary" and Gary replies "all day Barb" and the rally goes on and on.

Netflix

Barb was not happy with Kodi because she couldn't get her shows to work and she was wasting a lot of time trying to find streams that worked.  Sometimes there were none that worked and she had to skip an episode of her favourite shows.  So she decided to break down and try Netflix.  She ordered a free month to try it out.  I was disappointed that she was so unhappy with Kodi that she had to resort to Netflix but as long as it works better for her all is good.  It is only $7.99 US a month.

Drills

Barb goes to a drill group where each person in the group is supposed to take a turn leading the group through some drills.  However, all the people in the group were either teachers or coaches in their working days.  So Barb was intimidated and told them that she was just a housewife and didn't think she could lead a drill session. They said that was okay with them as long as she brings some home baked cookies.

Headphones

I often sit and listen to my radio station on the internet with only one ear bud of my headphones in my ear so that I can hear Barb if she wants to catch my attention and tell me something.  I used to hear a commercial about the new McDonalds muffin and it seemed funny because there a many silences in the commercial.  So today I heard the commercial with both ear buds in.  I guess the idea behind the commercial is that a person is torn trying to make a decision and two parts of his brain are arguing about which to eat first the muffin or the coffee and the person is talking to himself.  One side of his brain thinks he should eat the muffin first and the other thinks he should drink the coffee first.  So one voice is coming out of one side of the headphones and the other voice is coming out of the other side of the headphones.  That is why when I only have one ear bud in there are the long silences.
