Bluetooth

The new car has Bluetooth and the dealer showed Barb how to hook up her phone to the car.  I hadn't brought me phone to the dealer's.  So I didn't get my phone hooked up.  I wanted to listen to my audio book on the trip to Au Sable but we couldn't figure out how to hook my phone up to the Bluetooth.  So I stopped at the dealer on the way to the 401 and he hooked it up for me.  Then I tried to play my book from my phone and found out that the software that I use to listen to my audio books wasn't installed on my phone anymore.  So I went into the waiting area for the people waiting for servicing and used their wifi to download my software.  Then I was all set for my long drive.

Seats

Barb brought the new car home and I got home after her.  We had rushed the purchase of the new car so that I could drive it to Au Sable New York for a ball tournament that weekend.  So I got in the car and she was showing me the buttons and how everything worked.  She accidently turned on the seat warmers.  Fortunately we found out the seat warmers were on because it was the middle of July and I had a 7 hour drive ahead of me.

New Car

We paid and picked up the new car at the Honda dealer in Kitchener.  Barb drove home and I followed her.  First she got lost and turned into a plaza instead of the road to the highway.  I followed her and we stopped to talk in the entrance to the plaza.  There was a man in a car behind me who was not happy that we were blocking the entrance.  Then she turned around and I followed as she turned on the right road to the highway.  At the stoplight to turn on the ramp for the highway, Barb went ahead and I pulled into the intersection but couldn't turn because there was a transport truck coming the other way.  The truck was coming fast right at me, I tried to back up and it just missed me.  My little car shook from the wind of the truck passing.  I could have been killed and Barb would have not known anything because she was already on the highway and safely on the way home happily with her new car.

Caught

Barb was up early watching Wimbledon live from England and our neighbour Ross came to the door with some information about our new car.  Barb had to answer the door in her pajamas.  Now she knows what I feel like always getting caught in my pajamas by people coming to the door because I don't get dressed as soon I get up.

Vending Machine

I was at the ballpark in Milverton for the first time watching my friend's team play against the Australian junior national team.  There were large bleachers and there were some young people there who were buying popcorn and licorice and candy.  So I was getting hungry and thought I would go and buy something.  I walked around the diamond and through the parking lot and into the arena thinking the food was sold there.  All I found there was some vending machines.  The vending machines didn't even work.  So I walked back to the park and as I was walking back to my seat I saw that the food kiosk was on the side of the scorekeeper's booth which was right between the two sets of stands.  I had way gone out of my way looking for food and when I got back to the actual food kiosk they were sold out of almost everything.  I bought a package of sunflower seeds which was about all they had left.

Vanity

Barb wanted to get a vanity license plate for her new car.  So she looked up online how to get one.  She was able to check if anyone already had a license plate with the word PICKLBAL on it and she found that it was available.  She found out it cost over $300 with delivery.  It would be delivered to the door.  She thought that was too expensive but I told her to get it anyway.  So she did.  Then to make her feel better I got her to look up FASTBALL but it was already taken.  Then I asked her to look up FASTPTCH and it was available.  So I got her to order it for me.  There is no doubt where our priorities are.

Fireworks

I got home from a ball tournament and didn't really want to go out again to see the fireworks.  So Barb and I tried to watch the fireworks from the porch but the there were trees in the way.  But we didn't give up.  We walked down to the road behind the house to see if we could get a better angle.  We were able to see the fireworks better from there and watched them while we were getting eaten by mosquitoes.
