Congratulations

I sent the captain of my competitive fastball team an e-transfer with my fees for the season and for some reason I wrote Congratulations in the message space.  I have no idea what I meant by that.

Olden Days

Barb and I were talking about dress codes in the old days when we were in high school.  I said that when I was in grade nine there was a lot of controversy over allowing girls to wear pants to school. Up until then they had to wear skirts or dresses.  Barb asked me if I remembered garter belts from grade eight and I said how would I know about garter belts in grade eight with a shocked expression on my face.

Tee Shirt

Waiting for the fireworks, they were giving away tee shirts to people in the audience.  They asked who had come from another province and Laura put up her hand and said she was from BC.  The announcer called the unicorn down and gave her a black tee shirt.

Obsessed

There was a little girl about 6 years old sitting in front of us in the stands and when she went down the stairs to dance with the other kids, her mother turned to us and told us that the little girl was obsessed with Laura's hair.  The mother said the little girl's birthday was coming up and she would let her get a little purple colouring in her hair.  Laura wrote down the name of the good hair dye she should use.  The mother asked if she could take a picture of the little girl with Laura.

Unicorn

We were sitting in the stands watching the FMX Moto Extreme Show of motorcycles jumping and doing stunts in the air.  The announcer wanted us all to cheer for the two guys who were doing the jumping.  He looked up in the stands and said he wanted the unicorn to cheer and he was pointing at us.  I guess Laura was the unicorn because of her blue hair.

Parking

Barb and Laura thought the $5 entry fee to get into the park for the Canada Day Festivities was only for parking.  Since we had walked to the park, Barb and Laura never paid they just walked right in.  I was behind them but I read the sign and realized it was a entrance fee and had to pay.

Flowers

We were walking past a cemetery to the Canada Day festivities and I said I had walked by the cemetery many times on my walks downtown.  I said that there were often people in the cemetery putting flowers on the graves.  Barb said she didn't see any flowers.  And I starting pointing to flowers saying there are flowers over there and flowers over there and flowers over there.
