Colour Coordinated

Barb went to a craft show and found a whole bunch of coloured visors that she bought to go with her outfits.  She now has colour coordinated blouses, skirts, shoes, watch bands and visors for pickleball.  After she bought the visors, she realized she could have just gone out and bought the material and made the visors herself.  The next day she bought a whole box of fabric really cheap at Joanne's Fabric to make visors of all kinds of colours.

Lowquat

My other neighbour was telling us about the tree at the side of our house.  He said it produces really sweet fruit.  It is a strange type of fruit I never seen before.  He said he had brought all the stuff needed to make jam from the fruit.  I said he could have as much fruit as he wanted.  I plucked some of the fruit and tried it and gave some to Barb.  It was sort of good but Barb didn't like it.  Later Barb was showing the tree to her pickleball friend and her friend told her it was a Lowquat tree.  She said her Chinese roommates would love to have some of the fruit and they would cook it up.  I never even knew it was a fruit tree and now two people have said they would like some of the fruit from our tree.

Landscapers

When I phoned our neighbours to thank them for closing our door when I was out, I got a kick out of the fact that she said the landscapers had noticed the door was open and told them about it.  She calls the people who cut the lawn landscapers.  We call them lawnmowers.

New Bat

I knew my bat had a crack in it but today the umpires were checking the bats before the game and the umpire said I couldn't play with my bat because it was cracked.  The star hitter on our team said he had a bat at home that he never used and would bring it to the next game for me to use.  So I used his bat for a few games and hit really well.  So I asked him if I could buy it for $100.  It seemed like a good deal for both of us.

Credit Card

Barb also applied for a credit card at the bank but it never came in the mail either.

Bank Card

Barb's Bank of America debit card was cancelled and she was checking the mail box every day for the new one but it never came.  I said maybe she threw it out with the junk mail sort of like the way she missed her Canadian bank card this past summer.  She went to the bank and cancelled the bank card that never came and and she got a temporary card that just says customer on it and asked them to send a new card to her.

Jim

My friend on my softball team who is a pickleball player asked me if Barb played mixed in the Villages Tournament.  I said yes and he asked who she played with.  I thought about it and I really didn't know because when Barb is talking about all of her pickleball friends that I don't know, their names go in one ear and out the other.  But I randomly said Jim.  When I came home I told Barb about it and it turns out I was right she did play with a guy called Jim.
