Concerts

 I set up the Linux desktop computer in my office to face my comfy chair. I found a great YouTube video on how to build a website. After it was over, some concert videos followed, and now I am addicted to concert videos on YouTube.

Video

 I was recording a mentoring video today, and Barb came into the room and lifted her dress to show me a bruise on her leg she got today at pickleball.

Translation

 I watched a video of a colleague's presentation at a conference in Colombia on the internet. The talk was in Spanish, so the closed caption translation was turned on. I was reading along, and suddenly the words flashed on the screen "cheap car sex." I have no idea what he was trying to say, but the translation was wrong.

Chinese Lanterns

 Barb planted some Chinese lantern plants in the garden. They looked beautiful when they bloomed, and all the neighbours complimented her on them. Then she found out that they had taken over the whole garden. She couldn't control them and constantly pulled them out from between her other plants. Then this past week, she noticed that bugs were eating all the leaves off the plants. She had to pull all the dead plants out, but she was relieved to get rid of them.

Fruit Basket

 Sarah and Barb made a fruit basket exchange because Barb liked Sarah's banana hanger, and it didn't fit under Sarah's cupboards but fit perfectly under our cupboards.

Air Conditioning

 Sarah had a man come to fix her air conditioning at her house, and she thought he might be there when she was at work. So at the last minute, I decided to go to her home to be there if he came early. I got my neighbour to drive me over, and I brought my laptop to have a Zoom meeting while I was there. I left my phone behind because it was charging. When I got to Sarah's house and set up my computer, I realized I didn't know her wifi password. And I couldn't reach anyone because Sarah didn't have a home phone and I didn't have my cellphone. So I packed up my computer and had to walk home. It was a hot day, and I walked fast. I got home about 10 minutes late for my meeting. And it turned out that Sarah was home when the repairman came, and she never knew I had been there.
