Photo Op

Barb's friend from Ottawa is a professional photographer and takes pictures at all the pickleball tournaments he goes to.  He was in Naples when Barb was there and saw Barb on the court.  He decided to take a picture of Barb.  He took just one picture but that was enough because it was perfect action shot of Barb.  He said he always can count on Barb for a perfect picture.

Porridge

Barb was staying at the Holiday Inn during one of her out of town tournaments.  They had free continental breakfasts but they were really terrible.  Barb has porridge for breakfast at home sometimes.  So she decided to have porridge at the Holiday Inn.  The problem was she couldn't seem to figure out how to cook it properly.  So she ended up eating uncooked porridge and it later expanded in her stomach and made her feel kind of sick.

Bank Card

Barb got an email today saying her Bank of America debit card had been compromised and the bank had cancelled it.  The email said they would email her a new card and it should be delivered in 3-5 business days.  Barb seems to have the worst luck with bank cards.

Barb's Computer

I listen to my Ottawa radio station on Barb's computer with the little speakers we have for her computer.  Today I was trying to turn on Barb's computer and it wouldn't turn on.  I tried and Barb tried and it just didn't work.  So I told Barb I would try to fix it but in the meantime she could use my Linux computer.  I was upset that I was so quick to wipe the Windows system off the computer because Barb had never used Linux and thought it was some difficult system.  She was happily surprised it was so easy to use.  The Ubuntu operating system looks a lot like an older version of a Apple Macintosh computer.

Strike Out

Today I struck out in my slow-pitch game and I was very embarrassed because no one ever strikes out in slow-pitch.  The guys on the team laughed when I came back to the bench and said at least I didn't hit into a double play.

Linux Computer

I wanted to bring Sarah's old laptop to Florida so I could have a Linux computer but I decided it would be too many computers with Barb's computer, my Windows computer and my Work computer.  So I was happy when Barb's friend asked if we would like her old laptop now that her mother had bought her a new computer.  Barb told her friend that we would like it because Ivan collects old computers.  So Barb brought home the laptop from pickleball and I was impressed that the old computer was better than my computer.  I wiped the drive of her friend's stuff and installed Linux.  Every time I started up the computer, I got a message saying System Error.  The computer seemed to work okay but I was worried about the System Error.  So I installed Linux again.  Then I tried a different distribution of Linux but that distribution didn't recognize the wireless chip and I didn't want to fuss with installing the driver for it.  So I decided I could live with the message about the System Error.  Now I have the Linux computer in my office and my Windows computer in the living room where I can work on it while Barb watches television in the evenings.

Headphones

I use my headphones all the time.  Today I accidently tried to put the plug end of my headphones in my ear.
