We were looking into internet service providers for Florida and Barb was talking to a lady from Century Link
our old internet service provider in Avon
Park. It was late at night. So the lady could not pull up our account
information. So Barb had to give the
lady all of her personal information again.
The lady wanted to know Barb's driver's license number and expiry
date. Barb noticed that her driver's
license was going to expire on her birthday.
The next day was Remembrance Day and then the day after that
was Saturday and we were planning to leave for Florida on Sunday morning. Barb was worried that she wouldn't be able to
renew her license because the Service Ontario office would be closed.
She looked up the hours on the internet and found that
Service Ontario was open until noon on Remembrance Day. So the next day she went in the Service
Ontario office early and renewed her license and had a new photo taken. The lady gave her a temporary driver's
license that was good until February and said the new driver's license would
come in the mail in 4 to 6 weeks. Barb
asked if it could be mailed to Florida
and the lady said no.
So Barb gave Barry our neighbour who is looking after the
house $5 and asked him to mail the driver's license to her in Florida when he finds it in the mail.
