Tit for Tat

Barb is a member of the quilting club here in Florida.  There is a lady that is not too nice to her.  This lady was talking about a computer problem she was having.  The lady had Windows 8 and couldn’t print pdf documents the way she wanted.  She couldn’t choose individual pages to print.  All she could do was print the whole document.  Also she couldn’t print in black and white she could only print in colour.  So she was wasting a lot of printer ink.

Barb offered my services to help her.  I went over to the lady's place.  I thought she just needed to install Abode Reader but when I got there I found that she did have Adobe reader.  She explained how she printed documents directly from her email.  She was accessing her email from the apps page of the Windows 8 system.  I guess Microsoft was trying to make things simple for users by limiting the number of options available and there was no way to choose pages or black and white printing from the apps page.

I showed her how to access her email using Google Chrome on the desktop.  When printing from the desktop, I found that the options she wanted were available.

I then installed her wireless printer for her.  She asked me what she could do for me.  Barb told me to ask her if her husband would be able to come over and remove our garbage disposal system from our sink.  It had seized up over the summer and we couldn’t use the sink anymore.

A couple of weeks later her husband came over an did the job for us.  It was a great deal.
