Last Sentence

 As I said, I am no longer reading anything and have always read slowly. So today, in a meeting, one of the people wanted to show us something he had written. He flashed it up, and it was just two semi-long paragraphs. I was reading the first sentence in the first paragraph, and one of the other guys in the meeting said that there was an error in the last sentence of the second paragraph. And I told myself I knew I was a slow reader, but that was ridiculous. There was just no hope I would get through those two paragraphs in any reasonable time. My reading skills are hopeless.

Read Aloud

 I have not been reading anything anymore. I have my Microsoft Word read aloud all the documents I work on. I also have document readers on my Linux computer and a read-aloud app on my phone. It is excellent because it can read everything, including PDF documents and ebooks. Anyway, on my walk tonight, I was listening to an ebook on my phone, and I had turned it off with my earbud switch. Later that night, Barb drove me somewhere, and we were just starting out. Suddenly, my phone connected to the car speakers, and my Read Aloud app started reading my book really loud. Barb shrieked what the Hell was happening because the voice reading the book was like a robot. I said it was my phone. She said how do you listen to that terrible voice.

Early to Bed

Barb goes to bed at 11 pm because she has to get up early for pickleball. She likes to read her book before falling asleep. I hadn't been going to bed until 4 am, and by then, Barb had fallen asleep and then woke up, put away her book and glasses, and turned off her light. Tonight, I came to bed early at 2 am. And Barb was asleep, and her light was still on. So, I took her book off the bed and put it on the bedside table. I looked for her reading glasses because I usually have to take her reading glasses off her and put them on the bedside table, too. I looked and looked tonight but couldn't find her glasses. So, I started to get ready for bed, and when I was getting into bed on my side, I saw her glasses. They were under her belly, and she was sleeping on them. So, I pulled them from under her belly and put them on the bedside table. She might have crushed them if I hadn't found them.
