So, I carry my laptop all over the house and outside to the patio. And I knew I would eventually break it if I carried it around so much. Well, last Saturday night, I was carrying my laptop into the living room, and I closed the lid as usual, but my earbuds were on the keyboard. When I got to the living room and opened the laptop, the screen was badly damaged from the earbuds. I didn't realize it was so fragile. So I scrambled to save all my files on my Google Drive, and then the next day, I went to Best Buy with the computer to buy a new computer and get all my programs transferred to it. But there was a long lineup at the service desk, and they said I would need to make an appointment. So I made an appointment for the next day. But on my walk that night, I saw that someone was throwing out a television/DVD player. A note on it said it worked, but the stand was broken. So when I got home, I told Barb, and we decided to drive back and get it. We brought it home and set it up on my desk, but I didn't have the right cable. So, we tested it on Barb's computer, and it worked. So, I cancelled my appointment at Best Buy. It took me a week to figure out the cable. Then, I was back in business with the television, replacing the broken monitor on my laptop. But because the stand was broken, I had to put my stapler under one corner to keep it standing straight.
For many years, I kept a family diary devoted to good news and funny stories about my family while the girls were growing up. I stopped a few years ago. I am thinking of starting it up again because I have noticed that a lot of good and funny things are happening to my wife and I.
