Computer Expert

Now I broke my Linux laptop cable, and the battery died. I realized the cable was going because I was shocked once when I plugged it in. So Mom taped it with some electrical tape, which seemed to work, but then I got a big spark when I plugged it in, and it didn’t work at all. So we were wondering what to do, so I went to my neighbour’s house with the cable and asked him if he could splice the cord for me. He said I would need a new plug, but it would be easy. So, Mom went to Home Depot after pickleball and picked up a new plug. I took the cable and the plug to my neighbour’s house, and he said he would have it for me tomorrow. After dinner, there was a knock on the door, and it was my neighbour with the new plug. We tested it, and it worked great. I told the neighbour, “I was good with computers, so if he ever needed any help, I could come over and turn his computer off and back on again.” But the battery still wasn’t charging even though my laptop worked great when plugged in. But if I wanted to move it around the house or out to the patio, I would have to unplug it, and it would lose power, and then I would have to start it up again, and it takes a long time to restart. Mom said why don’t you take the battery out and put it back in again. I did, and it didn’t help. The computer still said the battery wasn’t charging. But then, a couple of hours later, I noticed the battery was charging. Barb said she was the computer expert, not me.
