The sale of our Barrhaven house was supposed
to close the day after we arrived home.
Barb had gone to a lot of trouble arranging to pay off the personal line
of credit on the house before we sold it.
So when she got a call from the lawyer in Ottawa telling her about the money that was
going to be transferred to our account, she was surprised that they had not
accounted for the fact that the personal line of credit was paid off. She told the lawyer he was mistaken. He said no he never makes mistakes. But Barb insisted that he look at the
paperwork again. Then he found he was
wrong. He corrected his mistake but he
didn’t apologize. Barb was glad it
finally worked out all right.
