Small World

Last October I went to the fastball tournament in Burlington.  I was looking to find a team to play with next season.  It was freezing cold.  So I went to Tim Horton’s around the corner to warm up and there were some guys from the tournament there in line.  I went up to one of the guys and introduced myself and said I had just moved to New Hamburg and was looking for a team to play with next season.  He took my name and number and said he would give it to the president of the league.  In the meantime, I had found a team in the Church League and the day after I got home from Florida we had our first game.  After the game, we were drinking in the parking lot and one of the guys mentioned the Burlington tournament and I said I was there.  He said I remember you.  You were the guy who came up to me at Tim Horton’s.  After he met me he said to the other guy on his team, who moves to New Hamburg.  There are 10 teams in the Church League and I thought it was quite a coincidence that we turned out to be on the same team.
