Lamp

Barb always has trouble turning on the standing lamp beside my chair in the living room.  Today she was having a really hard time and thought the bulb must be blown.  So she took the bulb out and replaced it but the lamp still didn't work.  So she took the new bulb out and when she did she seemed to take out the thingy that the bulb goes into.  So she leaned the lamp down to see the inside the shade and the glass shade fell off.  The shade it the television table and smashed, breaking up.  It landed on her foot and bruised it.  The same foot with the achilles and blister.  Also the broken glass on the shade cut her left arm in a couple of places.  I guess the thingy that came out when she pulled out the bulb held the shade on.
