Cashier

I went to Publix to buy a jug of milk and a jar of caffeinated instant coffee.  Barb only makes de-caffeinated coffee and Stan had been telling me that maybe caffeine might make me feel more awake in the mornings.  When I went to the cashier, I was paying cash and the cashier said $13.45.  I thought a little about it and thought that it was a little expensive for a jug of milk and a jar of instant coffee but I gave him the exact change.  Then I was leaving and he said you forgot your change.  I said I thought you said it was $13.45 but he then gave me back change for $7 something.  Then he realized that he had read the time on the register and not the amount.  I guess not too many people pay cash.  Everyone uses credit cards and he never has to read them the amount.
