Work Computer

I got an email saying that my work computer was ready to pick up and could I make an appointment to pick it up.  This was on a Thursday afternoon and we were leaving for Florida on the following Saturday night/Sunday morning.  I thought maybe I could drive to Ottawa on Thursday night and pick the computer up on Friday and drive back on Friday night.  Then leave for Florida on Saturday night.  But Barb didn't think that was a good plan and to make matters worse, there was a snow storm coming on Thursday night and we don't have snow tires on the car anymore.  Then I talked to the fellow in Ottawa who had emailed me and asked him if I would be able to get my PKI card if I went up on Friday.  He said the lady who has the PKI card had gone home sick and might not be in on Friday.  The computer would be useless without the PKI card.  I need the PKI card to hook into the DND computer network and I need to hook into the DND computer network to fill in my hours so that I will get paid.  That is really the only reason that I need the work computer.  In the end, I decided that I wouldn't go to Ottawa and we left for Florida on Saturday night as planned.  I would have to find another way to get the work computer and PKI card.
